Variant of the D'Assas 3 with a stork logo and a shutter release on the body.

The model presented here is based on the D’Assas 3 from 1954, which has a shutter limited to 1/150 of a second and a not very luminous f/4.5 lens, specifically a Topaz from Boyer establishments.

The unique feature of this specimen, aside from the beautiful ALSAPHOT badge, is the addition of a button on the body (marked 4 on the body) that allows for shutter release once the lens tube is in place. To do this, one must first rotate the grooved part at the base of the shutter release 180° so that the mechanism can lever. The existence of this variant is not mentioned in specialized works; perhaps it is an unfinished pre-production model?

Incidentally, it is worth noting that the rewind button is different from the "D’Assas 3" specimen already present on the site. This illustrates the variability in the production of French cameras during this period, which provides an opportunity, a few decades later, for some interesting discoveries.
